EOI"S Closed - A Great Response for 2008
Tuesday, March 18, 2008 - 03:17 PM Thanks to everyone who has submitted an EOI for Congress 2008. We have over 50 different groups wanting to do workshops, stalls, conversations and real people doing real things snapshots. EOI's have now closed after an extra week extension and the Working Party is busy fitting everyone into the program. It's looking like a fantastic couple of days where people will be able to hear some great stories, have some inspiring conversations, enjoy the stalls and get involved in some serious learning with our longer workshops on day two. Stay tuned for more Congress news as the program takes shape in the coming months.
We want to Hear your Community Stories
Saturday, March 15, 2008 - 09:57 AM The Congress Working Party are interested in publishing a book of Local Stories of People Working Together to Build Communities. The project is about celebrating the achievements of Central Coast Communities and showcasing grass roots community and culutral development. These local stories will be published in a book and posted on the Congress Website. Contribute to Congress 2008 - EOI's are now Open
Tuesday, February 05, 2008 - 09:18 AM Plans are well underway now for Congress 2008. Gosford Race Club will be buzzing with fantastic community building ideas and stories on August 12 and 13 and now is you chance to add your contribution to the programme! Expressions of Interest are now open for anyone interested in being part of the Congress programme. You can get involved through a workshop or group conversation of 40 minutes to an hour, a 5 minute snapshot of your community building work, a display or stall or suggest a another creative presentation you would like to make. Submissions close on the 6th of March so get your ideas organised and let us know what you would like to contribute. Here's what to do - download the EOI form from the website here, put together 250 words about your contribution in any of the categories, and email or mail it to Margot or Jodi at the addresses on the form.
2007 Community Building Awards Night
Sunday, November 04, 2007 - 06:14 PM Another fantastic event on the community building calender took place recently with the second annual Central Coast Community Congress Community Building Awards. Celebrating and recognising the diverse people and organisations on the Coast working hard to build community connections, the awards night attracted a huge number of nominations in 8 different categories. With 150 local people attending the night, the event is set to take off over the coming years as the Congress Working Party continues to promote, resource and celebrate everyone who works to build a strong, vibrant and diverse community here on the Coast. Dates Confirmed for Congress 2008
Thursday, September 13, 2007 - 02:55 PM Dates have been confirmed for Congress 2008 so make sure you put the 12th and 13th August 2008 in you diary now. Congress 2008 will be taking place at Gosford Racecourse and promises to be the best Congress so far. Day one will be a showcase of community building stories, inspiring keynotes and a celebration of the great work being done in local communities across the Coast and further afield. Day two will focus our energies on in-depth skill development with all day specialist workshops for the beginner and more seasoned community builder.

A gala night is planned for thhe 18th October to announce the winner and celebrate the wealth of commmunity building activity that is going on across the Coast. Nominations will be open in July!
