Congress 2010

Introduction

Central Coast Community Congress is about to move into its tenth year of working in partnership with Central Coast communities. It is an ongoing community building partnership that we hope is a model for, but mirrors, the wonderful contributions of our communities, across the New South Wales Central Coast. The Congress working party has adopted an assets based community development approach to all our work that tells us “Every community can identify things it does not have (needs) and things it does have (assets). A strong community is built upon identifying and then mobilising its assets” (Kretzmann/ McKnight). It is envisaged that our upcoming conference will reflect the amazing work of local, interstate and international organisations/groups that will inspire and motivate our delegates.
